At this year's ITMA, the producer of weaving machinery IQ-SPS GmbH, Wettringen/Germany, is presenting the new Phoenix projectile weaving machine for the first time, which implements the concept of sustainability without compromise. According to the company, the new machine has the highest performance ever achieved by a projectile weaving machine, with 1,600 m/min weft insertion rate. Furthermore, with 6.5 kW/h, it is said to be the most energy-saving version of all weaving systems with the highest energy efficiency.
Building particularly wide and robust weaving machines is one of the strengths of IQ-SPS. Great importance is attached to sustainability. Thus, weaving machines that have been taken out of service are not disposed of, but are given a new life. This saves 10 tons of CO2 and 5 tons of steel per weaving machine. The possible applications for the machines are wide-ranging, the focus is on technical textiles, in particular Geotech, Agrotech, Oekotech, Indutech etc. Through upgrades or conversions, it is possible to increase the efficiency of used weaving machines to such an extent that it equals or even surpasses that of a new machine. Thus, the machine is at the cutting edge of technology to meet the highest demands and requirements.
