From the 2022 autumn/winter season, the new ePE membrane from Gore-Tex will be available in stores from brands such as Adidas, Arc'teryx, Dakine, Patagonia, Reusch, Salomon, Roeckl and Ziener.
With the newly developed membrane from W. L. Gore & Associates Inc., Newark, DE/USA, a good strength-to-weight ratio is achieved. By combining the right materials and processes, a good microporous material was developed. The ePE membrane enables durable performance with a low environmental footprint (determined by Higg MSI) and is very light and thin, as well as mechanically robust. In combination with polyurethane (PU), it is a durable waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane.
This new membrane supports the Gore Fabrics Division's goal of being free of environmentally harmful PFCs (PFCEC) throughout the life cycle of its consumer products.
