Consumer demand and public image are driving investment into bio-based materials. Consumers, retailers, brands and manufacturers expect the textile industry to operate more sustainable and more conscious of the consequences for health and the environment. The specialty chemicals producer Tanatex Chemicals BV, Ede/Netherlands, offers Biolutions, a bio-based textile enhancement solution providing high-quality textile chemicals that meet the demands of its customers. Biolutions is a range of products made with bio-based raw materials, such as corn, linseed and castor oil, which do not compete with the food chain. Using the Biolutions range allows production processes to be improved and made more sustainable.
The company’s latest additions of the Biolutions range will be introduced at the stand. This includes Mesitol Bio-Fix, the first-to-market, bio-based and vegan after-treatment for polyamide and its blends. It is free of any kind of bisphenol, phenol and formaldehyde, that have been replaced with bio-based materials making it 87 % bio-based. Also presented at the show will be the range of bio-based (coating) binders and bio-based urea-free inkjet preparations for both reactive and acid inks.
