On the occasion of Pitti Filati 92 from January 25-27, 2023, in Florence/Italy, Südwolle Group is presenting a new project in collaboration with 3 internationally recognized companies within the textile sector: The Woolmark Company, Sydney/Australia, D-house urban laboratory, an innovative hub in Milan/Italy, as well as Expotex Srl, Stezzano/Italy, a company specialized in the production and distribution of technical yarns.
The "Knitting the future: exploring new areas" project focuses on the application of technologies, such as thermoforming, on materials composed of wool and Grilon. The project involves the creation of 2 garments using the innovative Icevict yarn, which offers new ways for creating uncommon and new structures and 3D effects for garments and accessories. The Icevict yarn is a blend of Merino wool and Grilon polyamide, which allows extraordinary forms to be created while offering durability, comfort, and softness. Wool fibers are also thermoregulating and breathable: they can absorb large quantities of humidity and allow it to evaporate, enabling knitted garments to prevent and absorb odors.
The products will be presented both at the D-House and Südwolle Group stands at Pitti Filati. Furthermore, the innovative project is presented digitally on the Südwebs Innovation Hub platform, where Südwolle Group, Nuremberg/Germany, promotes its innovations, collaborations, trends and technologies.
The partnership is an example of synergistic collaboration in the textile sector.
